Fall 2014 Pictures of the Peach Orchard

Adding a drip irrigation system really picked up the growth of the trees.  This winter we'll give them a "flat top" pruning at about 5-6 feet high.  I know you all saw the sticks in the ground last year and couldn't figure out how they would look like this!  There are three rows of ten trees each.

Here is how they started out

Early June 2014

I forgot to add some tractor pics.   Guess Orange is my new favorite color.  I'm out cutting the grass.

Here is the poster and entertainment line-up for this years June Bug Fest in Ben Wheeler.   There is also a Far-Out Art Fest that weekend.

Visiting friends in Houston this past week and was  asked for an update.  In the picture are my friends from AT&T, Pat, David, Renee, Me, Renee's brother, Susan, Art and Charlie.  PS, I first met Charlie when I interviewed with the company in 1985.

This is a current pic of the peach orchard  As you can see they are still young trees.

Maddy had a tough night last night.  Coyotes where howling and she did a good job patrolling the farm.

Ate at Stanley's BBQ in Tyler a few weeks ago....definitely good!

A friend from Ben Wheeler, Robert, from Maine came back from the east coast a couple of weeks ago and brought back live lobsters... we had a feast at the farm with friends.

Garden is coming along with sunflowers, watermelon and several variety's of cantaloupe. Oh yes and sweet corn, the Bodecious variety.

Matt Bradshaw and Heather Little, singers, songwriters and friends from Ben Wheeler at the Forge.

Again at the Mypegasusproject.org fundraiser yesterday.

Reg and our friend Jim Prevratil at the same fundraiser.

Finally got the flag up

Bought a 4ft Disc Harrow to use with the tractor.

Quick Update April 2014

Finally got the back porch center section screened in.  A bit of work to say the least.  Makes for a nice outdoor room though.
