Mid-April to Mid-May

Well, it has been sometime since I have updated you all.  Things have been progressing, but maybe not pictorially.. Finally got some paint on the exterior.  I hung the exterior shutters I made.  The drywall finisher  completed his work and currently the interior trim carpenter is at work.  Today I finished installing the white cedar shingles on the exterior....what a tedious job and sore on the feet having to go up and down the extension ladder many many times times.  Some of the cabinets have been delivered, but stacked in the kitchen.

There will be porch railings, stair railings, etc.all in good time!

The rear will also get porch rails, stair rails and screened porch.

Shutters were installed with real working hinges and shutter dogs, but it's hard to tell from the pictures.

Couple of the neighbors, they come for a visit just about everyday after a swim in my pond.

Lastly, we can call this place, Peach Tree Farms, as I planted 30 peach trees two weeks ago.  There are three varieties.  Planted 20 feet apart.  

Cut down to 36 inches...  wrapped  in aluminum foil to protect the trunk from sun scald and insects.
